How to reserve rooms in Zach Tamu? ›

To reserve a large event space, outdoor green space, learning studio, or meeting room, submit a request via the “Zachry Facility Reservation Request” form.

The $228 million, 525,000-gsf Zachry complex, with its five floors, has about twice the capacity of the old building.

The facility embraces the past and the College of Engineering's history while celebrating the future with its expansion and new technology.

To make a reservation select an available timeslot from the availability grid and then select the desired duration from the dropdown menu below the grid.

Noise. Designated quiet hours are posted in each community, and are from 8pm-7am daily, Sunday-Thursday.

The Zachry building, home to the Texas A&M College of Engineering, is unlike any other facility in the nation. The 525,000-square-foot complex completely modernized the original Zachry Engineering Center that it replaced.

In 1924 in Laredo, Henry Bartell “Pat” Zachry founded H.B. Zachry Corp. A few years before, Zachry, fresh out of Texas A&M University with an engineering degree in hand, was offered a job with the U.S. National Geodetic Survey in Panama.

All are welcome to use the Texas A&M Libraries' collections by visiting us in person and using material within our buildings. Borrowing privileges for individuals not currently affiliated with the University are limited and may vary depending on the library used.

Our five unique libraries house many resources assembled to support the research, learning and teaching at Texas A&M.

Texas A&M University does not require first-year students to live on campus, however there are several residence halls and on-campus apartments to choose from.
